January Genealogy Goals

Research
  • Make list of microfilms to request in advance of trip to Family History Center.
  • Start list of names to check when the 1940 census is released.
  • Research Gilmer County, West Virginia and develop research plan.
Writing
  • Write 8 posts for each of my blogs.
  • Come up with post ideas for my upcoming blog to document my husband's side of the family.
  • Begin working on outline for book on doing genealogy on a budget.
  • Review one genealogy book.
Education
  • Read one genealogy book.
  • Get back into gear with US Records Study Group
  • Watch one genealogy webinar.
Volunteer
  • Revisit local library and make a list of lookups I can offer based on the holdings of the genealogy room.

    I'm working on 2012 genealogy goals but hadn't narrowed anything down to just monthly. I like that idea. That makes them very do-able.
    I'll be working on my January list.
